BPBD Deploys Operational Vehicles for Each City to Support Disaster Management

Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Head Isnawa Adji has deployed operational vehicles at BPBD Office, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (3/23), which aims to anticipate extreme weather and support disaster management,

These vehicles have been deployed to each administrative city in Jakarta as an additional strength for the Jakarta Government in handling disasters

His side also deployed 7 pick-up cars following the results of 2021 Fiscal Year APBD Procurement.

As many as 5 pick-up cars would be placed in each administrative city and 2 others for mobilization needs at the provincial level.

For information, operational vehicle deployment was carried out as the continuation of equipment distribution for the rainy season which had been carried out on December 29, 2021, by Jakarta Vice Governor Ahmad Riza Patria.

Disaster management officers or commonly known as Rapid Response Team (TRC) had been also deployed in five administrative cities in Jakarta.

Aside that, the agency distributed disaster management supporting equipment based on the results of procurement in 2021 Fiscal Year APBD, such as 230 units of PE boats, 460 units of ring buoys, 1,000 units of portable flashlights, 70 refugee tents, 720 units of velbeds, and 700 units of isolation booths.

"All ranks of TRC BPBD must keep referring to two indicators in disaster management in Jakarta, namely no casualties and inundation/flood receding within 6 hours after the rain stops. In addition, the 3 main keywords, namely 'Siaga, Tanggap, Galang' to be our reference in disaster management while always complying with 6M health protocols," he asserted.
