Following the formation of City Council (DPRD) bodies (AKD), Jakarta Provincial Government and DPRD immediately hold discussion on the 2015 City Budget (APBD). The discussion is planned to be done in marathon by the Budget Board (Banggar) until each DPRD commission starting today.

“We agreed to tighten (speed up) the 2015 APBD discussion, starting from tomorrow, Wednesday (12/10) until the APBD ratified on January 8, 2015,” stated Head of Jakarta Financial Management Board (BPKD), Heru Budi Hartono, after meeting with the DPRD Consultative Body (Bamus), Tuesday (12/9).

According to Hartono, he is optimistic that the 2015 APBD ratification would not be delayed from the predefined schedule.

“Hopefully the executive and legislative could meet the schedule, thus the APBD could be ratified soon. So, the payday could be right on time,” he uttered.

For the total proposed budget, Hartono could not tell the number yet because it is still changing.

“The budget is still changing,” he told.

Meanwhile, DPRD Consultative Body Deputy Chairman, Muhammad Taufik, admitted that the 2015 APBD discussion is targeted to finish on upcoming December 29, so the next phase, which is inserting the account code by the executive, can be done.

“Insya Allah (with God’s will), the (APBD) discussion would finish on December 29, 2014,” he expressed.
