Jakarta Commits to Spending on Domestic Products up to Rp 5 Trillion, Highest in Indonesia

Following the Central Government's direction through the increasing the use of domestic products (known as P3DN) program, the Jakarta Government is committed to spending on domestic products amounting to Rp 5.182 trillion in City Budget (APBD) 2022.

This figure was the highest for the Provincial Government category throughout Indonesia.
Jakarta Industry Trade Cooperative Small and Medium Enterprise (PPKUKM) Agency Head Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo mentioned that the commitment was conveyed in the Business Matching of MSME and Domestic Product Procurement which was held on March 22-24, 2022, in Nusa Dua, Bali.

It was held to follow up on President Joko Widodo's direction to increase the use of domestic products and the proportion of MSMEs, as well as cooperatives in government's goods and services procurement.
"The realization of spending on MSMEs and domestic products in 2022 will be intensified to reach Rp 11.3 trillion. The figure exceeds the target set by the Central Government amounting to Rp 10.3 trillion," she mentioned, as quoted from Jakarta PPID's Press Release, Friday (3/25).
For information, the P3DN team has been formed to socialize and monitor the implementation of increasing domestic products.
"As our commitment to empower MSMEs and increase the P3DN, since 2020, the Government has required all regional apparatuses and BUMDs to buy food and beverages through Jakpreneurs registered in e-Order platform for their meetings. This obligation is bound in a form of a performance agreement between regional apparatus heads and the KPI of BUMD President Directors. Currently, 2,105 MSMEs have been registered in e-Order with a total of 7,102 products," she explained.
The efforts to increase domestic products do not only focus on government spending, but also on empowering entrepreneurs and marketing domestic products. She hoped the culture of using domestic products, especially MSME products, could be applied by all residents of Jakarta.
