The North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is accelerating the channel dredging work on Jalan Ongki, RW 09, Pluit Urban Village, Penjaringan Sub-district.
The progress has reached about 40 percent
North Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Field Coordinator Deni Rabu said a total of 10 personnel were involved in dredging the channel.
"The channel is full of mud thus it reduces the capacity," he mentioned, Wednesday (4/6).
UPT Alkal Proposes Budget for 20 New Heavy EquipmentHe explained the personnel were dredging the channel with a width of 60 centimeters and height of 1 meter manually. It has been started since Monday (4/4) and is targeted to be completed within one month.
"The progress has reached about 40 percent. After dredging, the channel is expected to function optimally when it rains," he stated.
