If it is ignored, it will trigger inundation

Menteng Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit Head Yopi Maidiza Siregar said the channel was dredged because of the thickness of the mud which has reached about 40 to 50 centimeters.

"If it is ignored, it will trigger inundation," he expressed, Tuesday (4/5).

To smoothen it, as many as 12 workers had been alerted at the location. They were equipped with simple equipment, such as hoes, crowbars, cangkrang, dustpan, and sacks.

"So far we have dredged the channel up to 100 meters and transported mud up to 19,2 cubic meters. The mud is disposed to the PLTU Ancol, North Jakarta," he explained.
