It is expected that in the future the river would be more beautiful, has a rest area or family recreational site, fishing grounds, or even become eco-Ciliwung tourism as an alternative water transportation facility in Jakarta,” stated Military Command (Kodam Jaya) Chief Lt. Col. Prakoso Poncho Heri Wibowo.
According to him, this cleaning action was done on the riverbank as well as the river for as long as 37 kilometers starting from Cijantung, East Jakarta, until Ciliwung upstream in Pluit, Penjaringan, North Jakarta. such activity will be done on every Tuesday with 300 personnel deployed per day.
