Ornamental Fish Traders in Duren Sawit to Be Relocated

East Jakarta Fishery and Livestock Sub-Department next year will relocate 25 ornamental fish traders in Duren Sawit Ornamental Fish Promotion Center (PPIH). This is conducted because the land belongs to private party.

Duren Sawit PPIH’s land belongs to private party. That’s why we’re going to relocate the traders to the land belongs to Jakarta Provincial Government

“Duren Sawit PPIH’s land belongs to private party. That’s why we’re going to relocate the traders to the land belongs to Jakarta Provincial Government,” stated Head of East Jakarta Fishery and Livestock Sub-Department, Wachyuni, Friday (12/12).

At this time, East Jakarta Fishery and Livestock Sub-Department is still looking for the new land to be built as PPIH. Whether to use city government’s land or do land acquisition, it is being reviewed.

Street Vendors’ Stalls in Sawah Besar will Be Demolished

“We do socialization first, thus traders would prepare themselves to be relocated,” she said.

Meanwhile, Taufan (27), one of ornamental fish traders, admitted that he and other traders are willing to be relocated to new location as long as it is more strategic and more profitable.

“We hope the new location is more strategic for our business and has more adequate facilities such as pipes and water storage procurement. This is because all this time the traders have difficulties to get clean water,” he uttered.
