December, Pluit Dam Citizens Relocation Re-Continued

The normalization of Pluit Dam located at Penjaringan Sub-District, North Jakarta, keeps being intensified by Jakarta Provincial Government. After relocating citizens on the west side of dam or at RT 19/17, similar thing will be done to other citizens living in RT 16/17. Same as before, the relocation is carried out to Muara Baru Flat, December.

Head of Penjaringan Sub-District, Rusdiyanto stated his side is collecting data about 300 citizens at RT 16/17 Penjaringan. Those would be relocated because of their building is right on the west side of the dam. "In December, we plan to do another relocation. Thus far, the data collection is still being prepared," he expressed, Wednesday (11/19).

After collection data is done, the next step is socialization and raffling phase to occupy the flat.

Meanwhile, Implementer of Jakarta Dam and River Normalization, Heriyanto admitted if the widening and elevating project for Jalan Inspeksi Rumah Pompa Waduk Pluit will be delayed from the predetermined date. This is because not all the buildings on the west side of Pluit Dam demolished by its owner. "Thus far, we have completed project about 100 meters," he told.

If the project is done, he continued, the Pluit Dam would be dredged, especially around the Pluit Dam's Pump House. He told, dredging will be continued in the upcoming December.
