Mass Fogging Held to Prevent Dengue Fever

The South Seribu Islands Sub-district Health Center led Wednesday (4/20) mass fogging on Tidung Island in an effort to prevent dengue fever.

The fogging will be a routine agenda until the case of dengue fever is wiped out

South Seribu Islands Health Center Head Ilmi Tri Indarto expressed there were 10 officers divided into two sectors. Each sector consisted of two neighborhoods.

"These four neighborhoods must be fogged thoroughly. If it doesn't finish today, it will be continued tomorrow," he stated.

He also involved 100 apparatuses of the urban village, RT/RW, and Jumantik (wiggler hunter) during the fogging.

"We also do a mass PSN (a campaign against dengue fever) to ensure the hot spots for dengue mosquitoes," he continued.

From the list owned by the Health Center, the current number of dengue cases on Tidung Island was eight.
