300 Joint Officers to Secure Central Jakarta Over Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri

Cooperation needs to be increased for a solemn Eid al-Fitr

The Central Jakarta administration is about to prepare around 300 joint officers to ensure public order and safety during Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri.

Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma stated that the urban village apparatus to the sub-agency level should actively collaborate to create public order.

"Cooperation needs to be increased for a solemn Eid al-Fitr," he said, on the sidelines of a ceremony held at the Central Jakarta Mayor's Office Plaza, Wednesday (4/27).

He also instructed them to set up integrated security posts at the entrances to the Central Jakarta area, during the takbiran night (recitation of Allah is great) convoys.

It had become a common phenomenon ahead of Eid al-Fitr beginning with takbiran night convoys that needed to be anticipated.

"Takbiran is still banned but will be centered at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS)," he asserted.

Then the apparatus in the urban village should empower PPSU officers together with the Environmental Sub-agency Task Force to clean up the garbage scattered around the mosque area, after the Eid prayer.

"Usually, there will be a lot of used newspapers scattered around the mosque after Eid prayer. It should be cleaned up quickly," he closed.
