Returning Flow at Kalideres Bus Terminal Still Deserted

Until Thursday (5/5) or D+2 of Eid, there has been no increase in the number of passengers arriving at Kalideres Bus Terminal.

On May 9-11, passengers from Central Java, Sumatera, and East Java are expected to pack the terminal

From Beritajakarta.id monitoring at the location, only tens of passengers were seen getting off the interprovincial intercity (AKAP) buses at 09:30. Most of the buses came from West Java and Banten.

One of the passengers of the PO Sahabat AKAP bus named Yusniah (34) admitted that she deliberately went home early with her husband and children to avoid traffic jams.

"We deliberately return to Jakarta early to avoid traffic jams. Besides, we have more time to rest at home and visit relatives and neighbors in Jakarta," she conveyed.

AKAP Bus Terminal Head Revi Zulkarnaen conveyed, on Wednesday (5/4) or D+1 of Eid, as many as 367 passengers had returned using 102 buses.

According to him, the majority of passengers who returned early came from Banten and West Java, such as Bandung, Tasikmalaya, Cirebon, and Kuningan.

He estimated the peak of backflow at Kalideres Terminal would be around D+7 to D+9 of Eid or May 9-11.

"On May 9-11, passengers from Central Java, Sumatera, and East Java are expected to pack the terminal," he stated.
