Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of May 10

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of May 10.

The number of people tested last week has reached 37,163

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated that the number of active cases in Jakarta today increased by 57 cases, bringing the number of active cases to 667 (people who are still being treated/isolated).

"Meanwhile, 3T efforts continue to be intensified, in addition to the COVID-19 vaccination which is also still ongoing with a wider scope," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Tuesday (5/10).

Based on the latest data, the PCR tests had been carried out on 12,379 specimens. 9,914 of them were to diagnose new cases with 150 positive and 9,764 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 48,155 were tested, with 54 positive results and 48,101 negative results.

She furthered the WHO test target is 1,000 people tested by PCR per million populations per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week.

"This target has been surpassed by Jakarta for some time. The number of people tested last week has reached 37,163, while 1,003,888 people have undergone the PCR tests," she added.

Of these cases, 1,232,618 people have been cured with a cure rate of 98.7%, and 15,287 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.2%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.6%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 1.7%, while in Indonesia was 11.7%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process is still ongoing. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 12,526,283 people (124.2%), with a proportion of 70.4% residents of Jakarta and 29.6% non-residents of Jakarta. Then the number of people being vaccinated in a 1-day dose is as many as 1,093 people. The total vaccination dose 2 now reached 10,677,613 people (105.9%), with a proportion of 73.7% residents of Jakarta and 26.4% non-residents of Jakarta. As for the third dose (booster) vaccination was also carried out. The updated total third dose was 3,742,032 people and the number of people who get vaccinated with the 3-day dose was 14,842 people (Note: the data on the number of vaccinations for the third dose was recorded to be lower due to difficulties in retrieving data from the KPCPEN dashboard).
