Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of April 22

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of April 22.

The number of people tested last week has reached 52,142

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated that the number of active cases in Jakarta today decreased by 198 cases, bringing the number of active cases to 1,730 (people who are still being treated/isolated).

"Meanwhile, 3T efforts continue to be intensified, in addition to the COVID-19 vaccination which is also still ongoing with a wider scope," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Friday (4/22).

Based on the latest data, the PCR tests had been carried out on 10,809 specimens. 8,643 of them were to diagnose new cases with 215 positive and 8,428 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 18.594 were tested, with 60 positive results and 18,534 negative results.

She furthered the WHO test target is 1,000 people tested by PCR per million populations per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week.

Of these cases, 1,229,616 people have been cured with a cure rate of 98.6%, and 15,261 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.2%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.6%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 2.6%, while in Indonesia was 11.8%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process is still ongoing. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 12,517,663 people (124.1%), with a proportion of 70.3% residents of Jakarta and 29.7% non-residents of Jakarta.
