Vice Jakarta Governor candidate Djarot Syaiful Hidayat promised to assist Jakarta Governor Basuki ‘Ahok’ T Purnama in running the governance after he is inducted. One of the things he will directly do is finishing the city budget priorities and preliminary thresholds (KUA-PPAS) with the Legislative Council (DPRD).

I will fully backup Mr. Governor’s policies

“After being inducted, I’ll go to the City Council to complete the KUA-PPAS,” stated Djarot on the sidelines of his inauguration rehearsal at City Hall, Tuesday (12/16).

This former Blitar Mayor stressed that he will work seriously and give the best for Jakartans. Among his programs are revitalizing traditional markets and developing creative industries as well as small and medium enterprises (UMKM) by involving department heads and Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) cadres.

“It must be done together with department heads and PKK cadres,” said Djarot.

Regarding traditional markets, he assessed that Jakarta is still weak in the management of traditional markets that are clean, comfortable, and safe. Whereas, there is something unique happens in traditional markets, that is the social interaction in which dialogues are created among one another.

About tasks division with Ahok, Djarot told that he will try to support and complement the governor, particularly related to policies like motorcycle ban on Jalan MH Thamrin.

“I will fully backup Mr. Governor’s policies,” he asserted.
