Those posts will be set up in schools or health centers
The Education Region II Sub-agency together with Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency is going to soon set up health posts in several schools to prevent the spread of acute hepatitis.
"I'm coordinating with the Health Sub-agency to set up health posts considering most of those affected by this disease come from children," said Education Region II Sub-agency Head Uripasih, Friday (5/13).
Central Jakarta Campaigns for Healthy Living from Acute HepatitisHer sub-agency would involve health workers from health centers at the urban village and sub-district levels in a bid to educate the prevention of acute viral hepatitis.
"Those posts will be set up in schools or health centers adjacent to the school. But this is all still being discussed," she explained.
Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head Erizon Safari added that the posts were anticipatory as the type of hepatitis virus and its transmission were still unknown.
"Recording, reporting, and monitoring are still being discussed. We are collaborating through the health care units (UKS) in schools and puskesmas," he added.
He also appealed to parents and children to adopt the Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS). One of them was by bringing food and drinks from home when doing activities at school.
"Thus, students do not exchange drinks and food with each other," he stated.
