Mencos Market Provides Free Medical Check-up Service

The South Jakarta Health Sub-agency launches a medical check-up service to screen for non-communicable disease (NCD) at the parking lot of Karbela Market or locally known as Mencos Market, Karet Urban Village, Setiabudi Sub-district.

The traders are very enthusiastic about checking their health conditions

From beritajakarta.id observation, tens of Mencos Market traders seemed enthusiastic about participating in medical checks upheld at the market area. On this occasion, they could check their health conditions, such as blood pressure, blood sugar levels, uric acid, and others for free.

Karet Urban Village Head Kiki M. Akbar conveyed that his side cooperated with the Setiabudi Sub-district Health Center and the urban village to hold a medical check-up which was held at Mencos or Karbela Market.

"The traders are very enthusiastic about checking their health conditions, including blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and uric acid," he said, Tuesday (5/17).

According to him, a medical check-up was provided to encourage Mencos Market traders to routinely check their health at the nearest health center.

"Thank God, traders are very enthusiastic about checking their health. Our target is around 70 traders, but it turns out that the participants exceed the target. We direct the traders who haven't been served to Karet Urban Village Health Center," he explained.

One of the Mencos Market traders named Robert (50) appreciated the local government for holding medical check-up services in the market.

"This service is very useful. We hope it can be held routinely and directly serve the residents," he expressed.
