30 Jakpreneurs Participate in Bimtek on Bidadari Island

As many as 30 Jakpreneurs under the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Agency, participated in the Creative IP Bootcamp Technical Guidance (Bimtek) entitled Brand Protection through Intellectual Property Certification on Bidadari Island, Seribu Islands. It will be ongoing until May 31, 2022.

Those Jakpreneurs were selected to participate in the Bimtek after passing through a curation process for the culinary, fashion, craft, art studios, travel agents, printing, digital, and photography platforms.

Creative Economy Division Head Helma Dahlia said that it is one of the recommended islands for digital nomads to work productively with the Work From Anywhere (WFA) concept and the promotion of the Seribu Islands.

Awareness to register trademarks for SMEs and intellectual property protection is important, as it will provide added value and privileges, build a reputation and create products that can compete globally.

"Registering intellectual property rights also simplifies the transfer and licensing process. This is very useful for legal business expansion," she said, Monday (5/20).

It presented presenters from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (HAM), namely Intellectual Property Sub-Division Head Fitriadi Agung Prabowo; Legal Counsel Lestari Sejati Pertiwi; Legal Considerations Puguh Andrianto; and KI Report Preparation Rony Setiawan.

They shared material on the introduction of trademarks as intellectual property rights and procedures for registration and filing of trademark forms.

There was also Redemptus Rangga as a representative from a national digital film platform startup who would share experiences about the use of the intellectual property.
