More Personnel Deployed to Intensify Odd-Even Socialization in East Jakarta

On the last day of the odd-even socialization, the East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency (Sudinhub) deployed more personnel in the field, from 40 to 68 personnel, on Friday (6/10).

East Jakarta Sudinhub Monitoring and Controlling Section Head Riki Erwinda conveyed that additional personnel were conducted to optimally monitor traffic in South Jakarta, starting from the intersection of Jalan Asem Baris, Kebon Baru, Tebet; the intersection of Gelael Tebet Timur; and the intersection of Cawang Train Station. Each point was guarded by two personnel.

Moreover, other personnel were also on standby at intersections that are directly connected with odd-even areas. They carried out socialization and education to motorists who pass through odd-even areas.

"We intensify the socialization by adding more personnel," he said.

In East Jakarta, the odd-even policy would be implemented on Jl. Raya DI Panjaitan, Jl. Raya Ahmad Yani, Jl. Raya MT Haryono, and Jl. Raya Pramuka.

East Jakarta Traffic Unit Binops Head Iptu Danoe Prakoso continued that during odd-even socialization which was carried out since June 6, the traffic density in odd-even areas began to decline. The speed of vehicles also increased and traffic jams unraveled.

"Traffic violators in odd-even areas have also declined. Maybe most people already know the odd-even policy that has been applied lately," he stated.
