The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is urging Jakartans to prepare themselves with umbrellas and rain coats as it predicts that rain will pour in Jakarta on Sunday (6/12).

Rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds in short duration will hit South, West, Central, and East Jakarta from noon to evening

"Rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds in short duration will hit South, West, Central, and East Jakarta from noon to evening," stated BMKG's official site.

The agency predicts that at noon, moderate rain will fall in West Jakarta; light rain in Central, North Jakarta, and Seribu Islands; as well as thunderstorm in South and East Jakarta.

At night, cloudy is expected in West, South, and East Jakarta; while sunny and cloudy in Central, North Jakarta, and Seribu Islands.

Entering dawn, most regions of Jakarta will see sunny and cloudy.

Temperatures are predicted at 22 to 32 degrees Celsius with 65 to 95 percent humidity.
