TMII Packed by 50 Thousand Visitors

A number of people flocked Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) in Cipayung, East Jakarta during Christmas holiday. Mostly the visitors gathered in several rides such as Snow Bay, guts test attraction, electric eels lights the Christmas tree, Christmas bazaar, Freshwater festival, Keong Mas, Istana Anak-anak, and Sky Lift.

One of the visitors, Mita (27), admitted she came with her family. "It's holiday, so we decided to go here with my husband and children," she said, Thursday (12/25).

She picked TMII because it has many entertainment arenas, while the location is also strategic. "The ticket price is also cheap," she added.

61,780 Thousands People Flocked to Ancol

TMII Public Relations Head, Jeremias PT Lahama, explained that the number of visitors was higher compared to usual day. "So far, there are 50 thousand people visit TMII. Usually, there was only 35 thousand people," he explained.

The ticket price is still Rp 15 thousand per person. "On December 31, the ticket price will be Rp 25 thousand per person," he added.

TMII management will hold some entertainment events such as wayang kulit, ketoprak, keroncong, and other regional arts for new year celebration. That is why the ticket price is increased.
