As many as 30 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) pariticipated in the Car Free Day (CFD) in Danau Sunter Selatan area, Tanjung Priok, Sunday (6/19).

North Jakarta Mayor Ali Maulana Hakim said the activity is an effort to revive the community's economy after the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We have 15 booths that showcase SME products, like fashion to culinary. After exercising, people can walk here," he stated.

He went on to say that today's CFD was also enlivened by a Waste Management Educational Performance entitled Back to Nature from the Environment Agency , Mobil Pojok Baca (Reading Corner Car) from the Library and Archieves Agency,  as well as health medical check-up and booster shot from the Health Agency.

Dewi Astuti (44), one of SMEs who sell Onde-Onde (glutinous rice flour balls) admitted that she was happy to have the opportunity to sell during the CFD.

"I have 60 packs of Onde-Onde and they all sold out, Alhamdulillah," she admitted.

Aliza Zahara (21), a Serdang Kemayoran Resident assessed that the CFD event was more lively than before, as many booths offered SME products, mobile library, and health medical check-up.

"The snacks that are marketed are also very many and interesting," he concluded.
