North Jakarta to Hold Vehicle Emission Tests in Three Locations

The North Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency collaborated with the Ministry of Environment's Directorate General of Pollution and Environmental Damage Control to hold vehicle emission tests from Tuesday (6/28) until Thursday (6/30).

It is done to improve air quality in North Jakarta

North Jakarta Assistant for Economy and Development Wawan Budi Rohman said the emission test is an effort to improve air quality in Jakarta. According to him, the biggest contributor to air pollution in Jakarta comes from motor vehicle emissions.

"It is done to improve air quality in North Jakarta because the polluted air affects the quality of life, health, and environment," he stated, Monday (6/27).

Commission B Encourages Use of Electric Vehicles for Microtrans

There were three target locations. They were Jalan Benyamin Sueb, Pademangan Timur Urban Village, Pademangan Sub-district on Tuesday (6/28), Jalan Danau Sunter Utara, Sunter Agung Urban Village, Tanjung Priok Sub-district on  Wednesday (6/29).

Then Jalan Pluit Timur Raya No. 12, Pluit Urban Village, Penjaringan Sub-district on Thursday (6/30).

"We hope residents can participate in improving the environment and air quality by taking vehicle emission tests," he hoped.
