Visitors Enthused with OPD Work Equipment Exhibition at Monas

Visitors pack the exhibition supporting the work facilities of the Jakarta Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD), which is held at the Plaza Selatan Monas Square, Central Jakarta from Saturday (7/2) to Sunday (7/3).

Many are willing to queue to enjoy and see some of the attractions displayed at the event. Among them are magic and storytelling from the Archives and Library Agency (Dispusip), excavator action from the Environment (LH) Agency, as well as traveling cars and flying fox by the Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Agency, and others.

Library Division Head Siti Sarah expressed that her party presented a magic action from Abang None Buku in the event held from 6 AM to 5 PM. There was also storytelling from the Kepompong Community, as well as puzzle games and 1,000 reading books on the library bus.

"We want to give literacy and experience to children because many parents bring their children here for holidays," she explained.

To attract visitors, her party distributed free drawing tools to 60 lucky visitors.

Dewi (40), a resident of Pondok Pinang, South Jakarta admitted she brought her children to visit the exhibition event while enjoying the Car Free Day (CFD). It was very useful, as it educated the public, especially children, about the roles, duties, and work of the Jakarta administration apparatus.

"They (children) can know what kind of dump truck belongs to LH Agency, as well as the types and functions of fire engines and others. My hope is it can be a routine agenda, especially on school holidays," she added.

The same statement also came from Putri (34), a resident of Tangerang who brought her seven-year-old son for a trip to Monas. It was the first exhibition she had seen, it was very useful and added to the play facilities for children.

"My son, Adi, tried the flying fox of the fire engine, then went to the library bus to hear fairy tales and read books. As a parent, I'm happy that the children are happy here," she exclaimed.

As for the information, some of the work facilities displayed are from the Water Resources (SDA) Agency; Regional Disaster Mitigation Board (BPBD); LH Agency.
