Idul Adha Mass Prayers at JIS, Wear Your Mask for Mutual Comfort

As we know, all Muslims in Indonesia will soon welcome Idul Adha (Day of Sacrifice), which falls on July 10, 2022. Especially in Jakarta, the Jakarta administration intends to celebrate it by holding Idul Adha mass prayers at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), North Jakarta.  

For mutual comfort, participants must obey the rules and discipline in carrying out health protocols

For those who want to participate, always obey the rules, complete the third vaccine or booster, and wear masks even in open spaces.

Acting City Secretary Sigit Wijatmoko disclosed the Idul Adha mass prayers had passed through coordination with the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI), as well as other Islamic institutions, which stated that the implementation of Idul Adha prayers at JIS was already following the merits of the Eid prayer.

His party involved various regional apparatus organizations (OPD) to ensure the sanctity of the prayer place.

"For mutual comfort, participants must obey the rules and discipline in carrying out health protocols. Bring personal worship equipment, attend prayers and listen to sermons solemnly, and always keep your distance," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Thursday (7/7).

Further, various infrastructures for supporting prayers at JIS had been prepared, such as ablution areas, parking lots, and toilets.

Despite a place for ablution having been provided, it was advisable to perform ablution from home to reduce queues and prayers could start on time.

"Prepare the need for Idul Adha prayers early. All OPDs have been sent to the stadium to ensure the implementation of mass prayers can run successfully. Therefore, let's continue to wear masks and complete your booster vaccination. Hope the prayer later can support #LebaranAman&Sehat in Jakarta," he added.

As for the information, the mass prayer location for Idul Adha is at Ramp West, Ramp East, North, and South concourses of JIS, North Jakarta.

If it rains, an alternative prayer place has been prepared at one of the locations around JIS.

Aside that, the prayer will be led by Prof. K.H Syukron Mam'un as a preacher and K.H. Muhammad Ali as a priest.

"The comfort and safety of the congregation is the main thing for us so that the Eid al-Adha celebration can be more lively #KurbanSemakinIstimewa," he stressed.
