The Jakarta administration has suspended Car Free Day (CFD) on July 10, 2022, which coincides with the celebration of Idul Adha 1443 Hijri.

According to Syafrin Liputo, Agency Head of Jakarta Transportation, the policy was following the Gubernatorial Regulation number 12/2016 on Car Free Day, in article 5 paragraph (1), whose implementation can be canceled simultaneously with national or international activities, where these activities require a traffic regulation and security.
"No Car Free Day this Sunday. We plan to make traffic engineering at points for the Idul Adha celebration thus it continues to run smoothly, safely, and orderly. We also call on residents to obey traffic rules in the field and implement health protocols everywhere," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Thursday (7/7).
