15 Parking Spaces Provided Outside JIS during Idul Adha Prayers

The Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) is specially designed for a minimum parking capacity to encourage public participation in the use of public transportation modes.

Therefore, around 15 parking spaces that can accommodate 4,000 vehicles have been prepared outside the stadium during the Idul Adha mass prayers tomorrow in order to facilitate people to get to and from JIS.

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head Syafrin Liputo said his party had prepared arrival and return routes for pilgrims who would pray Eid at JIS, manage the circulation of incoming and outgoing vehicles, as well as the drop off of public transportation.

"This is applied, as we predict there will be 60,000 worshipers tomorrow," he said, Saturday (7/9).

Outside the stadium, seven parking spaces had been prepared at Prof Sulianti Saroso RSPI with a capacity of 50 cars and 150 motorcycles, 17 Agustus University (Untag) with a capacity of 80 cars and 200 motorcycles.

Then at Graha YKI with a capacity of 20 cars and 50 motorcycles, Arcici Sunter Hotel with a capacity of 50 cars and 100 motorcycles, Sunter Nirwana Shop House with a capacity of 50 cars and 150 motorcycles, Ancol Karnaval with a capacity of 500 cars, and C3 Kemayoran with a capacity of 550 cars.

"We have shuttle buses at Ancol Karnaval and C3 Kemayoran (12 units), as well as Jalan Sunter Permai Raya and Danau Sunter Barat (12 units)," he explained.

Related to road closure, it will start from 4:30 AM to 10 PM. There would be two roads closed, namely Jalan Danau Sunter Barat (in front of JIS to Bulok Traffic Light), and Jalan Sunter Permai Raya (Railroad Crossing of Jalan RA Martadinata to Bisma Intersection).

"Don't park your vehicles on both roads. If you break it, we will do the towing. So, park in the parking spaces that have been provided," he stated.
