The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has planned a traffic diversion in anticipation of traffic jams during the Idul Adha mass prayers at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Sunday (7/10).

Dishub Head Syafrin Liputo disclosed that the arrival and return routes at JIS had been prepared, including arrangements for the circulation of incoming and outgoing vehicles, as well as the drop-off of public transportation.

"People don't need to worry and be confused, officers will direct you where you have to park and drop off. If the parking lot is full, follow the officers' instructions in the field for smooth traffic flow and mutual comfort. Don't park carelessly," he expressed, Friday (7/8).

There were eight parking spaces in and around the stadium, such as in-stadium, east parking 1, east parking 2, east ramp bicycle parking, ITF, BMW Park, Rukan Nusantara, and West Ramp motorcycle parking. There was no shuttle bus to JIS and vice versa, as the prayer location was quite close.

Then around the stadium served by school buses, namely at RSPI Soeroso, 17 Agustus 45 University, Graha YKI, D'Arcici Hotel, and Sunter Nirwana Shop House.

Aside that, additional parking lots were prepared to be served by Transjakarta buses, namely at Ancol Carnival and C3 (behind the Bandar Kemayoran flats). The bus will operate from 4:30 AM to 10 AM.

Then the pick-up for the pilgrims by bus was through the JIS South Zone (door 5).

"Hope residents can adjust their travel time to arrive at the location on time. The same conditions also apply after the event is over for returning to the parking locations," he added.

His party also urged them to use public transportation considering the limited capacity of vehicles in the parking area.

To serve the residents for Idul Adha prayers, Transjakarta operates a fleet of regular service buses to the stadium from the departure location at 5 AM:

1. Transjakarta JIS 014 (Senen - JIS)

2. Transjakarta JIS 003 (Harmoni - JIS)

3. Non BRT 10K (Tanjung Priok – Senen via BMW Park)

4. JAK 77 (Tanjung Priok – Jembatan Hitam)

The agency also plans to prepare traffic diversion to the stadium from 4:30 AM to 10 AM on the upcoming Sunday.

Vehicles that are allowed to pass are public transportation, Idul Adha prayer congregations, and residents living around the stadium area. Closures will be at 3 location points:

a. Railroad crossing on Jalan Sunter Permai Raya – Jalan RE.Martadinata

b. Intersection of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya – Jalan Bisma Raya

c. Intersection of Jalan Danau Sunter Barat – Jalan Danau Sunter Utara

Therefore, those who have no interest in or around the stadium area should find alternative lanes when the restrictions take place.
