Collaborating to Distribute Processed Qurban Meat, Governor Emphasizes to Share with Each Other

The Jakarta administration collaborates with several parties in distributing qurban meat to the needy. They are Perumda Dharma Jaya, Baznas Bazis, Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI), Indonesian Food Safety Professional Association (APKEPI), Noodle, and Meatball Traders Association (Papmiso), MSMEs, and 25 five-star hotels and restaurants.

The message is that even those who live in poverty, can taste food with the standard of a five-star hotel

"This spirit of collaboration in sharing must continue to grow. One of them is by providing a varied and ready-to-eat menu for qurban meat to the community," expressed Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan when he visited the Dapur Kurban (Qurban Kitchen) program at SMA Muhammadiyah 1, Jalan Kramat Raya, Central Jakarta, Monday (7/11).

As quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, he said the program aims to share processed meat that has been done since 2019, at which time the administration had involved well-known hotels to provide the best cuisine to the needy in Jakarta.

"The message is that even those who live in poverty, can taste food with the standard of a five-star hotel and this goes on," he explained.

He explained that the meat that had been processed, before being distributed, had an advantage. "Hope they accept it easily. Among others, firstly, reducing the basic complexity, secondly, with cooked meat so when they receive it, they need to pay money to process it," he explained.

As for the information, 500 kilograms of qurban meat was distributed at four locations from five MSMEs. They were Soto Sapi Bang Irwan at Barito Temporary Location (Loksem), Soto Globe H. Oji at Pasar Baru, Warpopski in Tebet, and Soto Solo Bu Dani dan Rawon Pak Har at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Jakarta. The meat was processed into 5,500 portions of Soto, then distributed to orphans and poor people who had been recorded by the Jakarta Social Agency (Dinsos).

In processing the meat with the MSMEs, the Jakarta Industry Trade Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency also collaborated with the Jakarta PP Muhammadiyah for the provision of a shared kitchen at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Jakarta.

Aside that, as many as 1,288 kilograms of meat were distributed to 25 hotels and restaurants in five regions, to be processed into 5,250 boxes of ready-to-eat food and distributed to 15 densely populated RWs from 10 urban villages based on Gubernatorial Regulation number 90 of 2018 which is the target for the distribution of qurban meat. By so, the total number of Dapur Kurban packages distributed was 10,750 packages.

As for the information, the slaughter of qurban meat had been carried out by Perumda Dharma Jaya yesterday from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Dharma Jaya Slaughterhouse, Cakung, East Jakarta, with a total of 11 cows, including a cow sacrificed by the Governor.

For the distribution of urban meat, it is scheduled from 7 PM to 11 PM using seven refrigerated cars to predetermined points.
