Jakarta Menyapa Event to Cause Traffic Diversion around JIS

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) is temporarily barring motorists to pass around the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) amid the Jakarta Menyapa event today, Saturday (7/16). The event will be enlivened by caders of the Family Welfare Movement Team (TP PKK) and Dasawisma in Jakarta.

Those who may pass are public transportation, residents, and participants

Dishub Head Syafrin Liputo said closures on several roads were scheduled to start from 2 PM to 7 PM. There are three roads closed, as follows:

1. Railroad Crossing of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya - Jalan RE Martadinata

Idul Adha Mass Prayers at JIS Run Smoothly

2. Intersection of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya - Jalan Bisma Raya

3. Intersection of Jalan Danau Sunter Barat - Jalan Danau Sunter Utara

In addition, there would be a diversion of traffic out of JIS to Jalan Sunter Permai from 6 PM to 8 PM.

"Those who may pass are public transportation, residents, and participants," he expressed, Saturday (7/16).

His agency also provided several parking pockets for participants, both inside and outside JIS. Due to limited land, they were advised to use public transportation or park at the location provided by the shuttle bus.

There were some parking pockets served by shuttle buses, namely at Sulianti Soeroso RSPI, 17 Agustus University, Graha YKI, D’Arcici, Sunter Nirwana Shophouse, and Ancol Karnaval.

He continued that as many as 180 shuttle buses had been prepared at 27 pick-up points throughout the Jakarta area and would operate from 10 AM to 4 PM.

"We deployed officers to patrol and escort the shuttle bus departure," he continued.

Here are the traffic diversion routes:

- Vehicles coming from the east of Jalan Bisma Raya heading to the north of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya will be diverted to the south of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya

- Vehicles coming from the south of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya to the north of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya will be diverted to turn right to Jalan Bisma Raya or turn back to Jalan Sunter Permai Raya - Jalan Danau Sunter Utara

- School shuttle bus can turn around from the north of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya to JIS

- Vehicles parked at five parking locations are directed to the south of Sunter Permai Raya via Danau Sunter Utara

- West U-Turn - West and East U-Turn - East are closed on Jalan Danau Sunter Utara
