To smoothen traffic flow on Jalan Laksamana Malahayati, Pondok Kelapa, Duren Sawit, the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) will close the Kapin Bridge access road on Thursday (7/28) tomorrow.

East Jakarta Economics and Development Assistant Kusmanto expressed that the closure was done to follow up on residents' suggestions and complaints from residents via the CRM app or directly to the mayor's office.

"We will close it tomorrow morning," he expressed, Wednesday (7/27).

He explained that it had been disseminated to the public through social media, banners, and the local village.

"Tonight at 9 PM, officers will install MBC (movable concrete barrier) concrete on the bridge. To turn the direction, the vehicle must go through a U-turn which is located not far from the bridge," he explained.

If the bridge was closed permanently, he would ask PT KKDM, the contractor for the Becakayu toll road project, to make a reforestation program.

"It is done to prevent street vendors, the crowds, and so forth, " he concluded.
