Ahok : Privates Company Should Manage Parks in Jakarta

Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja 'Ahok' Purnama inaugurated the Arjuna Wijaya Statue or commonly called Horse Statue on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Sunday (1/11).

We hope other private parties participate in managing the existing parks in Jakarta

One of the city icons that has aged more than 20 years was inaugurated after restoration and revitalized by a sculptor from Bali, Nyoman Nuarta.

As for the budget restoration of the statue is funded entirely by one of private banks through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Basuki also hoped that the steps taken by one of the private banks in assisting development in the capital can be followed by other private companies.

"We hope other private parties participate in managing the existing parks in Jakarta," said Ahok.

Ahok also have great hopes, the statue which became one of the capital icon can last in a long time and always in top condition.

"The fountain, lights, and garden's management in Arjuna Wijaya statue also aims to add the beauty of Jakarta," he added.

The inauguration of the Arjuna Wijaya statue was also attended by Head Jakarta Park and Cemetery Department, Nandar Sunandar.
