Central Jakarta Satpol PP Head Tumbur Parluhutan Purba said that the supervision got assistance from the Transportation Sub-agency, Environment Sub-agency, and national army/police.

"This is our routine agenda in the Dukuh Atas area to ensure visitors comply with the rules, namely throwing garbage in its place and wearing masks," he expressed, Friday (7/29).

Dozens of Public Order Officers Deployed to Monitor Dukuh Atas Area

As a result, around 10 residents were netted for not wearing masks and littering on Thursday (7/28) night.

"They were given a reprimand and swept the streets wearing orange vests. Those who do not wear masks after serving their sentences will be given masks," he stressed.

Previously, Central Jakarta Environment Sub-agency Acting Head Edy Mulyanto deployed around 16 officers divided into three shifts for the enforcement of Bylaw No. 3/2013.

He added that the number of visitors caught littering is now less than it was two weeks ago.

"Hopefully, in the future, visitors will be disciplined in disposing of garbage in the places provided," he hoped.
