Integration Fare Effective Today on Three Transportation Modes
Reported by Aldi Geri Lumban Tobing | Translated by Nugroho Adibrata
Starting Thursday (8/11) today, public transportation users in Jakarta can enjoy integration fares between transportation modes. It is based on Governor Decree number 733/2022 on the Amount of Mass Public Transport Service Tariff Packages.
The fare that has been adjusted is a maximum of Rp 10,000
As a company implementing integration fares, PT Jak Lingko Indonesia keeps coordinating with the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) from the side of regulation, socialization, and technical implementation to run intermodal transportation integration fares well.
They are also synergizing intensively with PT Transjakarta, PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), and PT LRT Jakarta.
Transjakarta Adds Eight AC Mickotrans for JAK 10A RoutePT JakLingko Indonesia President Director Muhammad Kamaluddin disclosed that the integration tariff policy was an assignment mandated by the Jakarta administration, which aims to encourage residents to use public transportation.
It is also supported by the technology that has been prepared, such as through the JakLingko application to make it more optimal. The users can enjoy the benefits of integrated fares through the application, where they can input the location of the destination and choose a recommended route according to the destination.
"The fare that has been adjusted is a maximum of Rp 10,000 if the user uses more than one mode. If only using one mode, the fare will be the same as that currently applies in each operator," he explained, Thursday (8/11).
He cited that if only using Transjakarta, passengers would still be charged Rp 3,500. However, if there is a combination of trips between Transjakarta and MRT Jakarta, then passengers are charged an integration fare, which is calculated to be more affordable than the usual fare.
As for the information, the current integration fare applies if a user orders a travel ticket through the JakLingko application with more than one mode of transportation such as the Transjakarta bus, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta.
The amount of the combined fare is calculated based on the distance with the initial cost of riding the first mode by Rp 2,500 and subsequently Rp 250 per kilometer with a maximum fare ceiling of Rp 10,000 in one trip using the application.
Meanwhile, if the user only uses one mode of transportation, the same tariff applies to each operator as it is now. Some examples of routes with a combination of transportation modes include:
1. Bundaran HI MRT Station to CBD Ciledug BRT Bus Stop (Transjakarta)
- Normal: Rp 10,500
- Integration: Rp 6,750
2. Fatmawati MRT Station to Gatot Subroto Jamsostek Bus Stop toward East BRT (Transjakarta)
- Normal: Rp 10,500
- Integration: Rp 5,000
3. Boulevard Selatan LRT Station to Cipete Raya MRT Station
- Normal: Rp 16,500
- Integration: Rp 7,500
Specifically for Transjakarta, in the early stages of integration fares apply on the Transjakarta BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) section with scan-in tickets at corridor stops.
Then non-BRT such as Metrotrans, Minitrans, and Mikrotrans with scan-in tickets in the fleet (generally located beside the driver), cannot be done and are still in the development stage.
While for Microtrans, the fare is Rp 0 or free and the fare at special hours is 5 AM to 7 AM. In Transjakarta, the existing fare is Rp 2,000, which does not affect integration rates.
