Transjakarta Explores Procurement of Electric Mikrotrans Fleet

City-owned bus operator Transjakarta has started exploring the procurement of electric Mikrotrans fleets after they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the DFSK electric minibus provider, PT Bevos Auto Mandiri.

We will gradually electrify all fleets from big buses to mikrotrans

The signing was executed by Transjakarta Technical and Digital Director M Indrayana and PT Bevos Auto Mandiri President Director Hartono Kurniawan at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD, South Tangerang.

Transjakarta Corporate Secretary Division Head Anang Rizkani Noor expressed that today's MoU is part of Transjakarta's efforts to convert its entire fleet into electric vehicles.

“We will gradually electrify all fleets from big buses to mikrotrans, which is a form of our seriousness in achieving the electrification target of the entire fleet until 2030," he expressed, Friday (8/12).

He explained the electricity mikrotrans is slated to be tested on the Tanah Abang - Kota route (JAK 10) in September 2022.

As for the information, the DFSK Electric Microtrans fleet has a battery capacity of 42 kWh with a range of up to 300 kilometers. The battery charging process is fast, which is 2.5 hours on a single charge.

"Hope it can be a vehicle when you leave the house to take you to a safe, comfortable, and environmentally friendly destination," he hoped.
