Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama admitted continue to coordinate with Public Works and Housing Minister, M Basuki Hadimoeljono to ask permission of improving protocol roads in capital to be handed by city government.

The road will still be owned by them, we only repair it. That's all

"I have sent a short message to him, we also have a main road, if they repair the road by applying 12 inch of concretes, we also have the similar concrete measurement, so why the ministry ca not give us the authority to repair their road," said Basuki at City Hall, Thursday (1/15).

He also takes example of Jalan MT Haryono conditions and Slipi which are often inundated when it rains.

"Why the did not elevate the road, why the also manage the roadside? We can handle it well, so don't worry," he added.

Basuki added that he does not worry about how much budget will be spent by city government to repair all protocol roads.

" The road will still be owned by them, we only repair it. That's all . But please don't allocate the fund anymore, or they will give it to us, no problem," he uttered.
