Today we hold the JIF where the Jakarta administration invites entrepreneurs in various fields
JIF 2022 carries the theme "Investing in Resilience" which is integrated with the U20 Mayors Summit. The theme is also in line with the Jakarta 2023-2026 Regional Development Plan.
"Today we hold the JIF where the Jakarta administration invites entrepreneurs in various fields to see the investment potential in this city," expressed Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan after he gave a presentation, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Thursday (9/1).
JIF 2022 Raises Issue of Post-Pandemic Challenges and Climate Change"Investments in Jakarta are not only in projects carried out by the administration but also investments for business activities that will provide more jobs, move the economy better, and improve welfare for Jakarta residents," he added.
He also explained the direction of Jakarta's development, where investors are expected to know, consider, and be able to make strategic decisions in order to invest their resources.
"So, on this occasion, we show the direction of Jakarta's development, what has been done and how it continues in the future, and matters related to the ease of doing business in Jakarta. Licensing reform and spatial planning, for instance, are materials where we hope that the business world will be involved in economic development in this city," he explained.
In the forum, he hoped that there would be an intense interaction between the plans of the government, the private sector, and investors from government-related institutions, multinational organizations, and pure private investors.
“An investment forum does not only interact on the panel but after the percentage of all interacting with each other, after that, follow-up meetings between investors and those who bring opportunities. The investment we want is a real investment, which goes directly into business activities,” he explained.
Besides the seminar, there was a leader forum as a space for several agencies under the administration to be ready to meet interested investors, such as the housing, food, and spatial planning offices, and BUMD.
Bank Indonesia Representative for Jakarta Head, Onny Widjanarko explained that JIF 2022 is very appropriate with the current momentum and conditions in Jakarta and Indonesia. Moreover, 15 urban development investment projects were offered to investors.
