Berlin City Delegation Buys Jakpreneur Products at U20 Mayor Summit 2022

Seven micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) or Jakpreneur were involved in the U20 Mayor Summit 2022 event at the Fairmont Hotel, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (8/30).

Of seven MSMEs, five were from Jakarta Industry Trade Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Agency (PPKUKM) and two were from Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Parekraf).

The Jakpreneur booths set up on the hotel's ground floor attracted the admiration and attention of the U20 delegates.

One of them was Startup Unit of Berlin Partner Marcia Schranner who was seen tasting products from two brands, Old Captain Coffee and Bir Pletok Charisma.

At that time, she suddenly wanted to enjoy coffee, as it smelled very strong considering Indonesia is one of the largest coffee producing countries in the world.

“The coffee smell is strong. I really like the taste of the coffee," she expressed.

She also tasted bir pletok for the first time and was attracted by its unique taste and aroma. The packaging and design of Pletok beer products were also good.

She then decided to buy Old Captain Coffee and Bir Pletok Charisma to take them to Berlin, Germany for her family.

"I bought them for family in Berlin, especially my husband," she admitted.

Jakpreneur member who owns the Old Captain Coffee brand, Sri Sembiring said she was happy to participate in this global event. Her participation was deemed to be a moment to introduce his products to the world community.

"My hope is we can continue to be involved in coaching and promotion through marketing like this. It aims to increase income and our products can be better known, even go international," she stated.
