As planned, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan is about to inaugurate the port operations by the end of this September.

"After being checked, access which was originally for goods was temporarily closed due to the construction of a ship dock on the west side of the port," he expressed.

He explained that the situation had resulted in the management choosing access in and out of goods through the passenger lane in the port building. As an alternative, the Regional Port Management Unit (UPPD) I for the Jakarta Transportation Agency prepared trolleys for cargo carriers and alerted officers to carry out surveillance.

However, port operations will continue as usual.

He went on to say that the Kali Adem Port was built very grandly with an international standard design. The facility was very good for the convenience of residents and tourists who were going on vacation to tourist islands in Seribu Islands.

He added that the port inauguration would have a very good impact on the community's economy.

"Because so far, villagers have relied on the economy from the tourism sector," he stated.
