Jakarta Planting Movement Tomorrow, Hurry Up Register!

The Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Agency is about to hold the Jakarta Planting Movement on Wednesday (9/28).

It will be enlivened by public figure Vicky Shu and there will be door prizes and attractive prizes for the best participants

It will be broadcast virtually via live streaming on the Go JakFarm Jakarta Youtube channel and the Zoom Meeting link starting from 8 AM to 11 AM.

The theme of this event is "Jakarta Plants for Food Security".

The simultaneous planting will involve all residents and urban farming activists in Jakarta, including regional apparatus organizations (OPD) and other stakeholders. Residents who want to participate can register via the link: bit.ly/GerakanMenanam.

Jakarta KPKP Agency Head, Suharini Eliawati disclosed that it was done in the context of developing urban farming in Jakarta and supporting the implementation of regional strategic activities (KSD) 15.

"Through the implementation of the KSD 15 action plan, it is planned to carry out planting and harvesting activities every quarter in 2022," she expressed, Wednesday (9/28).

She explained that the Jakarta Planting Movement is also a form of the 2018-2030 Grand Design of Urban Farming with one of the targets being the achievement of 30 percent of productive green open space by 2030 and carrying out the mandate of the Governor's Instruction No. 14/2018 on Urban Farming.

"Besides efforts to improve food security, it is also a form of implementation of strategic steps related to the impact of rising fuel prices by promoting the Planting Movement," she explained.

It was expected that people could understand and be enthusiastic about developing urban farming in their respective areas.

"It will be enlivened by public figure Vicky Shu and there will be door prizes and attractive prizes for the best participants," he said.
