Sebira Island Embankment Construction to Be Completed Soon

The Seribu Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency continues to build the embankment on the east side of Sebira Island, RT 04/03, Harapan Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district. The embankment that has 36 meters in length will be completed in the first week of October 2022.

This project is a continuation from 2021 to further strengthen the existing embankment

Seribu Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri said the embankment is built to protect land areas from the threat of tidal waves and abrasion. It is carried out using massive cube material.

"This project is a continuation from 2021 to further strengthen the existing embankment," he expressed, Saturday (10/1).

End of this September, Embankment Construction on West Side of Panggang Island Completed

He hoped that it could make people feel safe and comfortable because the land area where they live is safer from the waves.

The work itself has been ongoing since August 15, 2022.

"Thus far, about 295 massive cubes have been installed. Hope we can finish it in early October," he stated.
