10 Illegal Buildings in Balimester will Be Demolished

As many as 10 illegal buildings standing along a sidewalk of Jalan Jatinegara Timur IV, Balimester, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, will be demolished in the near future. The land is planned to be transformed into a pedestrian site and a park.

 If it is done until Sunday, we will send a warning letter on Monday

Balimester Urban Village Head, Agustinah disclosed 10 illegal buildings have been exist since 5 years. Most of them are used a business place, ranging from food, fruits, pulse, cigarette, tire repair, etc.

"Today, we have summoned and held socialization to the owners, where they have to demolish the buildings by themselves. If it is done until Sunday, we will send a warning letter on Monday," he asserted, Saturday (1/24).

If the warning remains ignored, the officers of Jatinegara Sub-District Satpol PP will demolish buildings on Tuesday or Wednesday.

 

As quoted by beritajakarta.com, those 10 business places that opened at 6 AM-10 PM are always crowded by vehicles that parked haphazardly. As a result, it causes traffic congestion.
