The Jakarta Bina Marga Agency is speeding up the construction of sidewalks with the complete street concept this year.

In detail, the revitalization of sidewalks in Kebayoran Baru area includes Jalan Cikajang, Jalan Trunojoyo, Jalan Gunawarman, Jalan Pattimura, and Jalan Sultan Hasanudin. Meanwhile, the same project in Pecenongan area includes Jalan Juanda and Jalan Pecenongan.

Finalization is now being conducted which included repairing the coating and installing street furniture such as park benches.
"Alhamdulillah, it will finish this month. There is also on Jalan Mas Mansyur on the west side," he expressed, Monday (10/10).
He explained that it was centered on both sides of the sidewalk along the road and its channels. In Kebayoran Baru, the sidewalk would be set to reach 6,960 meters long, 2,100 meters long for Pecenongan, 3,540 meters long for Jalan Proklamasi to Jalan Penataran, and 1,400 kilometers long for Jalan Mas Mansyur.
"In the period 2017-2021, the revitalized sidewalk has been 265 kilometers. With this year's revitalization, the length of the sidewalk that is laid out can be 300 kilometers," he continued.
In the complete street concept, the road space is revitalized according to its function ideally and completely to accommodate all the needs of road users.
It includes bicycle paths, green lanes, pedestrians, additional public transportation space and supporting facilities, street furniture, on-street parking, and accessories such as street vendors, plants, and benches, including utility networks such as utility manholes or ducting systems.
"Principally, the revitalization that accommodates the needs is according to the right portion by prioritizing pedestrians, cyclists, and public transportation users," he stated.
