The Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is about to build a 1-meter-long crossing channel or locally known as sodetan on Jalan Raya Jambore towards Rawa Dongkal Reservoir, Cibubur Urban Village, Ciracas, which aims to overcome inundation.
East Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Wawan Kurniawan said that the inundation on Jalan Jamboree Cibubur occurred because the contour of the land was in a basin area, and the channel could not accommodate water optimally during heavy rains.

He explained that the jacking was made across under Jalan Jamboree Raya. The depth of this jacking channel is about one to seven meters.
Because of higher road conditions, jacking should be made to a depth of seven meters but it would be made around 1 - 2 meters with 100 centimeters diameter on the low contour.
"This volume is large enough to drain the existing puddles on Jalan Jambore," he stated.
