Djarot: Urban Village Head Must Understand Any Problems

I see regional head is dominated by women here. I am glad if they can invite the locals in communal work and other activities

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat gave an appreciation to several urban villages in South Jakarta led by women. According to Djarot, the control problems of the region should be the main capability for each regional head.

"I see regional head is dominated by women here. I am glad if they can invite the locals in communal work and other activities. The good leader must know the problems in their respective areas," said Djarot during impromptu visit or blusukan to Cipete Utara Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Friday (1/30).

Djarot Invites Kapuk Citizens to Clean Drains

Based on the open-recruitment results in October last year, a number of women occupying the highest position in urban villages, South Jakarta. Among them are Ratu Dian Cherawati (Head of Senayan Urban Village), Dewi Purnamasari (Head of Gunung Urban Village), Hj Saryati (Head of Pesanggrahan Urban Village), Sri Emi Fariza Kartini (Head of Ulujami Urban Village), Hj Marsitah (Head of Lenteng Agung Urban Village) and Sri Rejeki (Acting Head of Ciganjur Urban Village).

On that occasion, Djarot also urges Jakarta officials do not be afraid to be evaluated. Because the most important during working is should be oriented to public service.

"You're not a lecturer who knows how to answer the questions. Don't be afraid to be evaluated, public who will make an assessment, yet back to ourselves," said former Mayor of Blitar.

Previously, Djarot firstly did an anti-mosquito campaign (PSN) on Jalan Damai Raya, RT 12/02. He looked entering some citizen homes to see where the potential emergence of mosquito larvae.
