KPKP Agency's Agriculture Division Head, Mujiati hoped that the training could improve the competence and insight of Jakarta community groups regarding the implementation of urban farming.
"Besides expanding the range of hydroponic vegetable growing activities in Jakarta, it turns out that there is a technology that can make it easier for us to care for hydroponic plants," she said, Monday (11/14).
She explained that the Urban Farming Academy was formed to open opportunities for residents to get education and training related to urban farming by utilizing the land for agricultural cultivation independently.
Hopefully, it could provide benefits for the independence of the community in carrying out urban farming activities. Thus, food security in the community and reforestation of residential areas can be realized.
"The urban farming development in Jakarta is expected to become a model for the development of urban farming for other cities in Indonesia," she said.
