MRT Jakarta Changes Operating Hours Today

PT MRT Jakarta decided to change its operating hours every Monday to Friday from 5 AM to 11 PM and on weekends from 6 AM to 11 PM. It has been effective from today, Tuesday (11/15).

"The departure time between trains on weekends and holidays is every 10 minutes

PT MRT Jakarta Corporate Secretary Division Head, Rendi Alhial said that the change in MRT operating hours was to follow up on the Transporation Agency's No. 486/2022 on Technical Guidelines for Setting Transport Capacity and Operational Time of Transportation Facilities during Public Activity Restrictions Level 1 (PPKM).

He revealed the departure time between trains on weekdays is every five minutes during peak hours (7 AM to 9 AM and 5 PM to 7 PM), and every 10 minutes outside of rush hours.

"The departure time between trains on weekends and holidays is every 10 minutes," he expressed.

MRT Jakarta calls on service users to follow the rules that apply while in the station and train area, especially regarding the implementation of health protocols to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, such as wearing masks and always maintaining hand hygiene by washing with soap.

"They are also asked to scan the QR code via PeduliLindungi application before entering the station area and not to speak in either one or two directions while on the train," he stated.
