Construction of the Halim Perdanakusuma Reservoir which is located in Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasar, East Jakarta is targeted for completion in December. Currently, the work progress has reached 95 percent.
East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar said the reservoir built on two-hectare land was to overcome the inundation that occurred in the surrounding area, especially in RW 02 Cipinang Melayu.

"Most of the results of dredging this land are filled with garbage, instead of mud. Because the land used was formerly an illegal garbage dump," he uttered.
Danlanud Halim Perdanakusuma Marsda Indonesian Military (TNI) Tedi Rizalihadi asserted that his party supports this project, as it is for the benefit of residents in anticipating the emergence of flooding during the rainy season.
"Hope it can be finished soon to prevent flooding," he hoped.
