Royal Brunei Darussalam Armed Forces Commander's Wife, Datin Ummisyafinah and her group paid a visit to the Jakarta National Handicrafts Council (Dekranasda) Gallery at the Abdul Muis Technical Service Building, Jalan Abdul Muis, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

The delegation accompanied by the wives of National Army (TNI) officials from KAS Kogabwilhan II, Kapuskersin, Wakapuskersin, Indonesian Defense Attaches in Brunei and Brunei in Jakarta and the Spouse Coordinator was welcomed by the Jakarta Dekranasda leaders and administrators.

During the visit, she had time to try making batik with a canting on a piece of cloth with a Marunda batik pattern, North Jakarta. After that, her group was friendly with Jakarta Creative Economy Tourism Agency Head (Parekraf), Andhika Permana and Jakarta Dekranasda leadership while enjoying snacks of kerak telur (a traditional Betawi omelette made of duck eggs and rice), iced selendang mayang, and so forth.

On that occasion, Andhika welcomed the group from Brunei Darussalam. This visit was deemed as an honor for the Jakarta Provincial Government.

"Besides working visits, it also aims for the exchange of insights and nationality. Hope we can strengthen friendship for all," he hoped, Tuesday (12/6).

Afterward, Ummisyafinah and her group bought many souvenirs created by members of the Jakarta Deskranasda, such as bags, earrings, and bracelets.

She assessed that the range of products on display in the gallery was very beautiful and in keeping with the culture of his country. One of them is a handicraft product whose types and varieties look very much.

"All the items here (in the gallery) are very beautiful and unique," she stated.
