A Senen Underpass located on Jalan Letjen Suprapto, Central Jakarta, since 7 AM, already passable by vehicle, after the inundation was sucked up by a pump car owned by the local Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department.

Previously, the underpass was inundated between 30-40 centimeters and forced motorists to look for an alternative road. "We suck up the inundation using one pump car. Nevertheless, we remain on standby here (around the underpass)," said Section Head of Operation, Central Jakarta Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department, Muchtar Zakaria, Monday (2/9).

According to him, his party is also on standby in front of the Cempaka Mas Mall. This is because water level has touched 100 centimeters and has an impact on traffic congestion.

"The drains around the mall cannot accommodate water. Yet we can't suck up all the water," he expressed.
