Heavy Rain, Streets in Jakarta Inundated

Heavy rain that poured the city yesterday afternoon had left some streets inundated. The water level was varied, ranging from 10 centimeters to 100 centimeters.

There are 11 points inundated

“There are 11 points inundated,” informed picket officer of Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Board (BPBD), Desmanto, Monday (11/24).

Those 11 inundation points were:

- Jalan Fatmawati in front of Golf Mansion Residence Complex (10-20 centimeters);

- Jalan Cibubur II (40-50 centimeters);

- In front of Baru Urban Village (10 centimeters);

- Jalan H Ipin (90-100 centimeters);

- Jalan Srengseng Sawah in front of Pancasila University (20-30 centimeters);

- Jalan M Kahfi 2 in front of gas filling station (10-20 centimeters);

- Jalan Bintaro Jaya Sector 5 (10 centimeters);

- Jalan Raya Ciracas near Pemadam Bridge towards Cipayung (20-30 centimeters);

- Pulo Gadung Industrial area (20-30 centimeters);

- Jalan H Kamang Bawah (40-50 centimeters);

- and Jalan Raya Bogor, precisely at HEK Junction (30-40 centimeters).

In addition, Jakarta BPBD also recorded that two trees on Jalan Pamulang and Tipar Cakung were fallen. Those trees were evacuated by Jakarta Parks and Cemeteries Department.
